Curare Cares: Community Kitchen and Food Drive

Dustin Beeler, Christina Divine, and Stefan Mohrmann

“It’s an honor to assist our community by helping those in need,” – Christina Divine

On September 26th, Dustin, Stefan, and Christina volunteered at the Community Kitchen of Monroe County. This non-profit volunteer organization works to eliminate hunger by providing warm and nutritious meals to individuals in need. This organization is a valuable part of the city of Bloomington’s volunteer network.

In addition to hands-on volunteering in the kitchen, our home office cleaned out their pantries last weekend, and collectively donated 60 pieces of canned food to both the Community Kitchen and the Little Free Pantry, whose goal is to feed neighbors and nourish neighborhoods. With the Curare Cares program in full swing, there will surely be more Curare Food Drives to come.

“Volunteering at Community Kitchen was fun.  I loved the environment of camaraderie, and I was impressed with what they’re doing to help the community.” – Dustin Beeler

“It was a great opportunity to be able to give back to the community I live in.” – Stefan Mohrmann

This volunteer program was designed to provide opportunities for our employees to serve the community and create positive change. As proud Bloomingtonians, we are grateful for the chance to give back. Our employees are eager to take on more volunteer projects this fall.
